Help for displaying attributes

The attributes of a record are used to find it later in special selections.

You can use the "Further selections" button on the selection screen to narrow down the sentence display according to various criteria.

In addition to the sentence number, which also applies to the corresponding translations, the sentence text is displayed at the top.

Listen to the spoken sentence:

You can use the button next to the text to jump to another web page to listen to the pronunciation. The text is copied to the clipboard and transferred to the external programme (currently Google Translate). There you can listen to the spoken text. 

The attributes in detail:

Master/slave:

The master sentence is the sentence from which it was translated into the other languages. A slave sentence is a translation from the master sentence.

Level:

Degree of difficulty of a sentence.

Level 1-3: Beginners in a language

Level 4-6: Advanced

Level 7-9: Experts (technical terms)

Age:

The sentence is intended for a specific age of the learner. For children, an age of 5 to 11 years is defined, for teenagers from 12 to 17 years and for adults from 18 years. If an age group is specified here, it can be specifically selected for some games.

Idiom yes:

The sentence contains an idiom, the text of the idiom must be maintained, the meaning is optional.

Facts yes:

These sentences can be used to learn interesting facts on the side

Sentence type:

Labelling for specific sentence types such as interrogative sentences. Some games have access to certain sentence types such as "question and answer" or "lists".

Expression:

Style of a sentence such as vulgar or poetic

Country-specific:   

Sentences with country-specific expressions 

Categories:

Certain subject areas to which a sentence is assigned. This allows you to acquire a vocabulary for a specific topic.

The main category can be divided into subcategories and these in turn into subcategories. They are maintained by the administrators.

Verbs:

The "Verbs" block should be viewed as a single unit and must always be fully maintained. For a particular verb in a sentence, it is recorded which verb form it is from which basic form. They can be selected in some games and are the basis for the "Find the verb" game.

Source:

Shows the source of a sentence if it has been copied from an existing text.

Alternative sentence:

An alternative translation can be recorded here, e.g. a literal translation of a phrase

Note from user:

Here the user can give the admin a hint, e.g. if something is not clear in the text or in the attributes.

Note from the admin:

Here the admin can give the user a hint if he has corrected something in the text or in the attributes.

General attributes:

The statuses show how far the sentence has been edited.

Overall status:

It refers to all three criteria text, attributes and assignments.

Text status:

Shows to what extent the text has been edited.

Attribute status:

Shows the extent to which the attributes have been edited.

Assignment status:

Shows the extent to which the assignments have been edited.

Status 0:

Not yet edited - these records are only accessible to the creator

Status 1:

Edited by the user (also only accessible to the creator)

Satus 2:

released by the user (accessible to administrators)

Satus 3:

released by the administrator - these records are accessible to all

Affected users:

indicates who has edited the record
